Compassion breeds compassion.

A creative soul. Authenticity advocate.

Poetic by nature. Graceful in movements.

Compassionate heart. Giver. Smiler.

These are some ways that Michel defines herself.

Michel feels passionate about helping others. To alleviate some of the mental health struggles individuals go through always puts a smile on her face and heart. She has a special knack for working with those who experience anxiety as well as those who have experienced a history of trauma. Providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming environment are some of Michel’s strengths. Michel values self-expression within her own life and enjoys poetry, journaling, dancing, and spending time with loved ones in her free time. She encourages this within her therapy sessions.

Michel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Michel has over ten years of experience in helping professions including working in a community-based clinic for children, adolescents, and families with mental health disorders, a group clinical practice, an organization serving people with disabilities and vulnerable children, and her own private practice. Michel provides bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural services.
